What appears, at first glance, to be a road-going BMW Mini Cooper, has been adapted to compete in the Scottish Mini Cooper Cup. The engine is identical, having only a Superchipped ECU and racing specification air filter. The body shape is as standard, as are the gear box and dashboard. However, the vehicle is completely stripped out, reducing weight to a minimum. A full roll cage is installed, as are, a 6 point harness racing seat and fire extinguisher system. Racing specification brakes, suspension, exhaust system, tyres and lightweight racing wheels are also fitted. Competing cars in the Scottish Mini Cooper Cup are all identical BMW Mini Coopers.
